ILLUSIONS

We create these illusions of reality

that serve no purpose – just to belong
eyes unwise open; seduced in notion
of a promise told long ago.

We want to transform from fatalistic
yearning of a void – a longing to be
cradled in arms of messiahs
healed of all that transpired
before.

It is only the brave human nature
slowly opened buds prepared
to reveal beauty and wounds
in face of adversity.

Ready to laugh in the face of
our foolish endeavours to
risk the fear factor

To swoop and dip graceful eagles
amongst the highs and lows
of obstacles that test fragility.

I have found some days to be blind
self served instant gratification
I go on and on living in this
desire to fully open.

Searching through a time of
dark film noir streets; with
only moonlight to guide this
heart that bleeds an illusion
She longs to make useful
To the I and soul of she.
